Our goal is to develop a self-sufficient living complex. As part of this goal, we are trying to reuse, restore, and reclaim as much of the origional building as possible.

This priest-house is the original homestead. The structure is a ruin with restoration limited to a new roof and re- pointed walls.

How to restore a ruin?
For practical reasons, we made the conscious choice to use local materials and craftspeople in the rebuilding of our home. With the assistance of the previous owner and many of the local village residents, we were able to begin the restoration process.
​Originally the goal was to do much of the work ourselves, but after much hard labor over the summer, we realized we needed more assistance in order to move more quickly.
